Pa Mernagh Cup
In the first game we played Orrill Utd and won 3-0 with Paul Dempsey, Robert O Toole and Mark O Connor. We won the next 1-0 against Camolin in what was a very close game with our rivals from the previous season. Shane Campbell nipped the ball away from the defender rounding the goal keeper and slotting home it was a close game but we held on for the win. In the semi final in a game we completely dominated it somehow ended in a 1-1 draw. The game went to penalties and Stephen Redmond missed the 1st, T.J Parle, Snowy, Richard Murphy all scoring. C.J Murphy saving their last penalty and Mark Dempsey scoring the winner.

Ballymurn Celtic was to have another great season in 2010/2011. We now had entered a B team in Division 5 with the growth of numbers in the club. Brian “Hob” O Connor and Paul Larrissy were the managers of the B team with Vincent Quirke and Dave Healy mangers of the A team. On the first day of the of the season the the two teams were beaten by Camolin. The A team drew their next game vs Castledockrell 1-1 that was to be start of a very good run that would see us end up runners up in the league for second time in a row. Shane Campbell scored a great individual hatrick winning 3-2 vs Cloughbawn. We were to win our next 3 games before a top of the table clash with Shamrock Rovers which ended in a 1-1 draw. Another draw and 2 wins would set us up again Camolin in another top of the table clash which we won 2-0. We went the rest of the season only loosing 1 more game to Shamrock Rovers which would see them win the league just by 3 points. It was disappointing not to win the league after only loosing 2 games but that’s soccer. The B team were to a tough season but had many enjoyable days.
