Season 2009/2010
Ballymurn had a bad start to the season when we got beat by Ferns 2-1 with Brian O Leary scoring the only goal for us. But things were about to get better we would win our next 4 games scoring 14 goals in the process and then being narrowly beaten by Stoney Rovers 2-3 in a game we dominated but we didn’t get the result we deserved. A good result vs Gorey Rangers set us up for the big game vs Camolin. We drew 1-1 away to Camolin with Stephen Redmond scoring the only goal but we really should have done better that day. We bounced back with a big win over our local rivals Crossabeg we beat them 8-2. We then put 8 past Fethard. A home defeat to Camolin and a bad draw 2-2 with Crossabeg meant we were playing for 2nd spot. We beat Taghmon at home 2-1 and had a great end to the season playing some great football. To clinch runners up we needed to beat Stoney Rovers down there on the last day of the season. We won 4-1 T.J Parle, Paul Walsh, Snowy and Stephen Redmond scoring the goals. By scoring 4 goals that day we became the leading scorers of all the Wexford Leagues with an incredible 70 goals scored a great season. We finished runners up with many feeling we had not done ourselves justice.
A great end to the season
